Are you a book person or a movie person?

I think I'm a little of both. I am more catholic in my movie tastes than in my books. The trashiest author I'd own up to would be Jim Thompson, I suppose. When I was in high school, I read a lot of science fiction, but it just hasn't interested me since I started paying income tax. Most people would find the mystery writers I like a little esoteric, like Nicholas Freeling and Sebastien Japrisot. Now, I am enjoying working my way through the Lemony Snicket books.

But every once in a while I can go for a movie that's unpasteurized roquefort, like last year's Underworld.
