Life in a Northern Virginia suburb of Washington, D.C. B.M.A.T.C., and Etruscan typewriter erasers. Blogged by David Gorsline.
A fox wandered onto the trail as I was talking my walk today, about 10 or 15
yards ahead of me. Messy streaks of rufous and black. It shook himself of
the wet it had gotten into (rain yesterday), then glimpsed me and scampered
across the path, towards the abandoned house that I'd never noticed until
the NO TRESPASSING signs went up. As I crossed the fox's track behind it, I
caught a scent of something muddy.
