So we've got our first three performances under our belts. Not everything has been perfect, but it's been pretty smooth. We've covered the fluffs so that most people wouldn't notice, or (in the case of a dropped prop) just for a moment.
The toasters are still problematic. I'm getting everything done that I need to do with them, getting them plugged in on p. 52 and loaded with bread on p. 54. I'm almost starting to enjoy playing with them.
But the six toasters on one circuit keep tripping a circuit breaker. So we end up with two popped up, and three or four with just stale-ish bread. It's too bad, because when they do pop, it's during Lee's monologue on the phone, and they provide a nice counterpoint.
Audiences have been small (20-40) but always with one or two enthusiastic laughers. And only a few walkouts.
Andy complained that the fight went down twisted this afternoon. I apparently banged his head on the table. Not good. I think that Mr. Andrenaline grabbed hold of me, and he is not my friend.
There's been a little offstage drama that we don't need to dwell on.
John is his own worst enemy.
I'm proud of what we've done. It's a good show.
