Michael is producing the festival this year. He has an endearing, invaluable way of burning off tension: he bakes. My god, he must buy flour in 100-pound sacks like the pioneers in the covered wagons.

There is nothing finer than to finish a performance, come backstage, and have one of Michael's homemade cookies. Or three. Allison's favorite (she's in one of the other shows on our nights) is mint chocolate chip. I didn't even know that you could buy chocolate chips with the mint already blended in.

Sally's theater colleague Laurie (sp?) saw the show tonight. She's planning mounting a production of The Seven Year Itch, and she told me, "You would be really good in that." The Tom Ewell part? Gosh.
