Too early for Mountain Laurel on the Blue Ridge, so this Wild Geranium (Geranium maculatum) will have to do. Top bird of the trip was the Ruffed Grouse (Bonasa umbellus) that sauntered across Skyline Drive 50 yards in front of my car.
