Jessa Crispin reads The Little Guide to Your Well-Read Life by Steve Leveen of the Levenger Company.

Three paragraphs into The Little Guide, Leveen is already promoting his Levenger products. But never mind that—he quickly promises me that I can uncover books that will change my life. I'm always worried when someone tells me a book will change my life. I'm almost afraid that it will, and I'll be changed into the type of person who wears t-shirts that say things like "Cats . . . Books . . . Life is good!" But I must have faith. Leveen is here to help me. He instructs me to make a List of Candidates—books that I might be interested in reading in the future. I already have that. It's called my Amazon.com wish list, and it's 350-books strong.
