So, it's begun at last. To think that for all our technological and economic strength, that the United States can make such a botch of diplomacy; that for all our vaunted intelligence expertise, that we can't take out one guy without blowing the crap out of a nation and its civilians—well, it makes me despair. We're better than this. What a black, black day for all of us. For this country, and for the rest of the world.
