Life in a Northern Virginia suburb of Washington, D.C. B.M.A.T.C., and Etruscan typewriter erasers. Blogged by David Gorsline.
Dulles rail corridor engineers are looking for ways to squeeze costs out of
the proposed Metro extension to Reston and beyond. In particular, they're
concerned about the costs of getting
over, under, or around the hill that Tysons Corner is built on.
At an elevation of 515 feet, Tysons is euphemistically described as the
highest "natural" summit in Fairfax County.
Mt.
Murtaugh (most of us call it something more colloquial) is higher,
rising to 567 feet.
