Today is a day for sorting out bookmark folders. My car is running erratically, and I left my script behind at rehearsal last night, so I'm so flustered that all I can manage today is cleaning out this electronic kitchen junk drawer.

  • The Brooklyn Bird Club provides a run-down on birding sites in Prospect Park.
  • Randy Korotev suggests some places to find Eurasian Tree Sparrow (Passer montanus) in the area around St. Louis.
  • I'd like to vist the Japanese House and Garden (Shofuso) in Farimount Park, Philadelphia.
  • I'm studying t'ai chi with an instructor from Peaceable Dragon. They also offer instruction in walking qigong, which sounds interesting.
  • I need to replace the fence in my backyard, and I'd like to put on a deck, so I need to refer to the Reston Association design review guidelines.
  • Japanese Gardens in Portland, Ore., and Seattle (404?); more things to do in Seattle.
  • Some resource pointers for dealing with death and dying.
  • As a result of my research into the demise of Larry Shue in a plane crash in 1985, I've been collecting information on other celebrity deaths by aircraft mishap. Turns out that someone else has built up a much more comprehensive site. One of my round tuit projects is to contribute the small increment of information I've collected.
