I finally got the summary data posted for the Huntley Meadows Park nest box program for this season. The numbers are down overall. The mergansers are continuing to do well, perhaps because they can get started nesting about a month before the Wood Ducks. The mergs have better luck bringing a clutch to fledging than the woodies.
