And when I was listening to WPFW on the drive up to G'burg today, the host was reading the set list, and I had a strange bilingual mondegreen moment when I realized that "If You Go Away," a somewhat annoying drippy tune that was recorded by almost everyone in the sixties, and "Ne me quitte pas," a heart-tearing ballad sung by Jacques Brel, its composer, in the film version of Jacques Brel Is Alive and Well... are the same darn song.
