Life in a Northern Virginia suburb of Washington, D.C. B.M.A.T.C., and Etruscan typewriter erasers. Blogged by David Gorsline.
Recent spring arrivals at Huntley Meadows Park: Barn Swallow (Hirundo
rustica), Northern Rough-Winged Swallow (Stelgidopteryx
serripennis), Chimney Swift (Chaetura pelagica), Common
Yellowthroat (Geothlypis trichas). We also saw a
toasty-warm-plumaged Kildeer (Charadrius vociferus). Our first
box of mergansers has hatched!
