Well, the good news is that the weather was pleasant. The bad news is that the weather was pleasant: cool, cloudy. Hence, very little butterfly activity. I did manage to find Tawny-edged Skippers (Polites themistocles) at two of our survey sites.
New butterfly observers Shanon and Kathy enjoyed the day immensely, so that was gratifying.
Of the non-butterfly species, I found a couple interesting moths (squeaking in to National Moth Week), including Wedgling Moth (Galgula partita). And the team found a handsome Common Green Darner (Anaz junius).
